Kim Spang has been named vice president for development and college relations at Lafayette. She has served as acting vice president since April of this year, following four years as associate vice president.
Lafayette President Alison Byerly announced the appointment to the campus community today.
“I am delighted that I will have the opportunity to continue to work with Kim in her new role and am excited about the leadership she will bring to the capital campaign. She has served with dedication and established a record of success that prepared her well for the new duties she assumed last spring,” Byerly said.
“I know that she will do an excellent job of helping alumni and friends of the College understand why this campaign is critical to Lafayette’s future, and that she will be an effective advocate for the ambitious goals we have set for ourselves.”
Spang oversees the offices of development, alumni relations, and career services. She joined Lafayette in 2003 and held various fundraising positions before being appointed associate vice president for development in 2010. A graduate of Kutztown University, she had previously worked as a senior sales and marketing manager for the Walt Disney Company.
