Roger A. Demareski of Princeton University has been named vice president for finance and administration at Lafayette College.

Roger A. Demareski of Princeton University has been named vice president for finance and administration at Lafayette College. The appointment is effective November 17.

Demareski brings 23 years’ experience in strategic planning, capital budgeting and operations, and other financial and administrative functions. He has served as assistant vice president for facilities operations at Princeton since 2008, following eight years of service as associate vice president for finance and administration at Seton Hall University.

“I am delighted that Roger Demareski will join Lafayette as vice president for finance and administration,” said Lafayette President Alison Byerly, who announced the appointment to the campus community today. “He brings a strong background in directing and managing financial and administrative functions in higher education, as well as a keen interest in the ongoing challenge faced by colleges like Lafayette of balancing excellence with affordability.”

Demareski began his career at Turner Construction Co., rising to senior project manager with responsibility for all construction processes. He joined Seton Hall in 2000 as associate vice president for finance and administration. He holds a B.S. in civil engineering degree from Villanova University and an MBA from Seton Hall.

Demareski and his wife, Kristine, are the parents of sons Jack, Peter, Joe, and Patrick. He has been a volunteer firefighter and EMT for 23 years.
