Campus practitioners are invited to join the Social Media Working Group (SMWG). The aim is to create community, support, unity, and consistency for strong Lafayette social media identity through a forum for education, discussion, and information exchange on topics such as strategies, branding, content, tools and innovations, best practices, and new technologies.
The group is open to staff, faculty, and students who use social media for work-related purposes, or as a part of a campus organization or group recognized by the College. Meetings are monthly and optional. Information on relevant social media topics are exchanged between meetings.
There are two ways become a member. You are automatically included on the SMWG list once you register your social media account. If you are the manager of someone who administers the social media accounts for your area, or just interested in the topic of social media, you are also welcome to join the group by contacting Brooke McDermott, manager of social media, Communications Division, firstname.lastname@example.org, (610) 330-5690.
